Davenport, Fla. (June 28, 2026) – A 28-year-old woman was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Davenport after being ejected from the vehicle, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 2:34 a.m. near the intersection of Home Run Boulevard and Westview Road. Investigators said the woman was thrown from the vehicle during the collision and died at the scene as a result of her injuries.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation through its Traffic Homicide Investigations Unit to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
