Tampa Crash Leaves 4 Dead, 13 Injured After Vehicle Slams Into Business

Authorities said the crash occurred after a driver allegedly lost control of a vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle left the roadway, struck a business, and hit multiple people in the area.

Police said the vehicle involved had previously been observed in connection with suspected street racing activity in Tampa. Investigators said the driver was traveling recklessly on Interstate 275 before exiting the highway at a high rate of speed.

Three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while a fourth victim later died at a hospital. Several others suffered injuries, with some victims requiring hospitalization and others treated at the scene.
