Orlando, Fla. (June 24, 2026) – Newly obtained street-camera video shows a crash involving an Orlando Police officer that resulted in the death of a 92-year-old woman, according to investigators.
Officials said the crash involved Orlando Police and occurred during an incident that left 92-year-old woman, described as a beloved grandmother, dead. The video was reportedly obtained through investigative reporting and provides additional context to the collision.
Prosecutors ultimately decided not to file criminal charges against the officer involved in the crash. However, an initial Orlando Police crash report determined that the officer was at fault in the incident that led to Ortiz’s death.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain part of the public record, and the incident has drawn continued attention following the release of video evidence.
