Orlando, Fla. (June 17, 2026) – A driver was critically injured early Monday morning after a violent crash in which their vehicle struck multiple light poles and split into two, according to the Orlando Police Department.
Officials said the crash occurred around 2:45 a.m. along North Orange Blossom Trail near Amelia Street in Orlando.
Police reported that the vehicle left the roadway under unknown circumstances before colliding with several light poles, causing severe damage and splitting the car apart. Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the driver to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the vehicle to veer off the road. No additional details about the driver have been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Orlando Police Department.
