Orlando, Fla. (June 22, 2026) – One person was killed and another was injured early Thursday after a single-vehicle crash into a tree in Orlando, according to police and fire officials.
The crash occurred around 1 a.m. in the 4300 block of Millenia Boulevard, east of I-4, according to the Orlando Fire Department. Officials said the vehicle struck a tree, and video from a nearby source showed the car crashing before smoke became visible and a person appearing to exit the vehicle.
Fire crews said a woman had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported to a hospital in critical condition. A male occupant was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Orlando Police Department, which is leading the investigation, later confirmed that one person died as a result of the crash. No additional details, including the identity of the deceased, have been released pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
