Deadly Tesla and Volkswagen Crash Closes Florida Avenue in Tampa
Schedule a Free ConsultationTampa, Fla. (July 01, 2026) – A deadly crash involving a Tesla and a Volkswagen closed the northbound lanes of Florida Avenue in Tampa, according to the Tampa Police Department.
Authorities said the collision prompted the closure of northbound Florida Avenue between Fowler Avenue and Bougainvillea Avenue as investigators worked at the scene. Motorists were advised to use alternate routes while the investigation remained underway.
Police said the crash involved a Tesla and a Volkswagen but did not immediately release additional details regarding the circumstances of the collision or the identity of the person who died.
The Tampa Police Department continues to investigate the fatal crash.
