Canadian Man Killed in Davenport, FL Crash on Ronald Reagan Parkway at Loma Del Sol

Davenport, Fla. (June 26, 2026) – A 71-year-old man from Ontario, Canada was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash in northeast Polk County, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said the crash occurred around 8:49 p.m. on Ronald Reagan Parkway at Loma Del Sol in the Davenport area. Emergency responders from Polk County Fire Rescue transported both drivers, who were the only occupants of their vehicles, to a local hospital.

Authorities said the 71-year-old man later died from his injuries after arrival at the hospital. The second driver, a 22-year-old woman from Clermont, Florida, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was treated.

Preliminary findings from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit indicate that the 71-year-old man was driving a 2025 Chrysler Pacifica eastbound on Ronald Reagan Parkway, while the 22-year-old woman was traveling westbound in a 2019 BMW sedan when the collision occurred.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the full circumstances of the crash.

Officials have not released additional details pending further investigation.
