Bradenton, Fla. (June 30, 2026) – A Bradenton man was arrested after leading Florida Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase across three counties before crashing into a fence near MacDill Air Force Base in Hillsborough County.
Authorities said the pursuit began at approximately 10 p.m. Sunday in Manatee County and continued across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge through Pinellas County before ending near MacDill Air Force Base, where the suspect crashed into a fence and was taken into custody following a brief foot pursuit.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 31-year-old Randall Woodson was arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, reckless driving causing property damage or personal injury, and fleeing to elude law enforcement. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office also charged him with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The investigation into the pursuit and crash remains ongoing.
