Lutz, Fla. (June 24, 2026) – A Tampa man is facing DUI manslaughter charges following a deadly two-vehicle crash that left two people dead and another injured, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the crash occurred Sunday afternoon along U.S. Highway 41 when a Nissan Pathfinder collided with a Toyota Camry. Investigators identified the driver as 21-year-old of Tampa.
Troopers said a 53-year-old man from Land O’Lakes and a 60-year-old woman from Lutz were killed at the scene of the crash. A third passenger survived the collision and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that Persaud is facing two counts of DUI manslaughter as the investigation continues.
Officials said the crash remains under active investigation.
