Semi-Truck Tank Hits SUV on I-75 Near Wesley Chapel, FL; Two Women Injured
Schedule a Free ConsultationWesley Chapel, Fla. (June 25, 2026) – Two women sustained minor injuries Saturday morning following a crash involving a semi-truck and an SUV on Interstate 75, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the incident occurred when a semi-truck hauling a large empty tank attempted to change lanes on I-75 northbound just north of Wesley Chapel Boulevard. During the maneuver, the tank struck an SUV carrying two women.
Officials said both women in the SUV suffered minor injuries and were evaluated following the crash.
The collision led to the temporary closure of northbound I-75 for several hours while crews worked to clear the roadway and investigate the scene.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
