Orlando, Fla. (June 20, 2026) – All lanes of Interstate 4 near State Road 528 in Orlando have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash that caused significant traffic delays Monday afternoon, according to the Florida Department of Transportation.
Officials said the crash occurred before Mile Marker 72 and initially shut down all eastbound lanes at approximately 4:13 p.m. One lane later reopened around 5:51 p.m., while the remaining lanes stayed closed for cleanup and investigation before all lanes fully reopened at about 7:21 p.m.
Traffic cameras and FL511 reports showed emergency responders at the scene and heavy congestion stretching more than four miles back toward the Apopka-Vineland Road (County Road 535) exit near the Disney area. Drivers were forced to detour off the interstate as crews worked to clear the roadway.
No details have been released regarding injuries or the cause of the crash.
The incident remains under review by transportation and law enforcement officials.
